See Mr. Chester if you have other ideas.

Find an interesting article about something that is currently going in in that place. It should be something than happened within the last six months. (Bonus if your article has is about something we studied or some one we studied this year.) Your final product will be a one minute talk about the place you chose so you should look for a two to three page article.

To find articles search for place and "news" or "current events."

Let Mr. Chester know the subject of your article before anyone else gets it.

Read the article and take Cornell notes on it. You will be using the questions in your presentation, so write several good questions.

Use your Cornell notes, particularly the summary and the questions to prepare and present a one minute talk about the article you read. You may use one notecard which I will provide during your talk. We will review how to organize your talk in class on Tuesday.

Talks will take place on Wednesday.

Do the following on your wikispace page.
  1. Post the title of your article.
  2. Post a link to the article.
  3. Post the summary you wrote.
  4. Post a picture (optional)

Written cornell notes are due Tuesday.

WIkispace pages and talks are due Wednesday.
